Teaching
My teaching is grounded in the belief that effective instruction is both intentional and relational, and that learning is an active, collaborative process between student and instructor. I design library and information science courses with clearly articulated learning outcomes, aligned assessments, and scaffolded instructional activities that support student progress and connect theory to professional practice.
My teaching emphasizes relevance, enthusiasm, respect, partnership, and reflection as guiding principles, and I use active learning, authentic assessments, and formative feedback to promote critical inquiry and ethical decision-making. I strive to create inclusive learning environments that uphold academic rigor while attending to students’ social and emotional needs, preparing reflective librarians and information professionals who can apply theory thoughtfully and advance positive change in evolving information settings.
